Well, I realize that I’ve been quite scattered lately when it comes to blogging… and by scattered, I mean, doing it whenever I remember, which hasn’t been terribly often. I could give a whole list of excuses, but no one wants to read them and really, who would believe them, so I won’t bother. In a very short time, however, I’ll be back to blogging every single day. It should be pretty obvious why… NaNo is during November (wow, I totally just typed “August”, and I have no idea why…) and this year, I’m absolutely determined that I’m going to blog NaNo.

My first year, I tried, but it was a pretty crap try if you ask me. I did it for the first couple of days, and then I just kind of… stopped… Haha. I forgot about it most of the time. 2006 was my first year during NaNo and it was a disaster, so it’s no wonder that I never went anywhere with blogging. Then in 2007, I did it for like one day and then just never bothered going back to it. I didn’t really have a blog at the time – well, I did, but it had like five or six posts on it – and I wasn’t anywhere near as regular in it as I am now (which should tell you everything, considering I’m not terribly regular in this one at the moment, either). It’s been something I’ve had some interest in doing, so I’m really going to try to do it this year.

I’ve also begun to get my plot for NaNo 2008, despite my best efforts to hold off. I guess it was just tired of sulking below the surface, because out of the blue on Friday, it hit me upside the head and said “PAY ATTENTION”. I quite like it so far, though, and when I posted about it in the forums I got quite a bit of positive feedback on it, so I think I’m going to go with it. It’s only about half-formed right now, but I’m sure the rest of it will come in due time.
